‘Blue Flag’ means the best beaches and the best spots
Everyone in Italy knows that Tuscany has got a wonderful coast that offers different landscapes, from sand to rocks, pinewoods and wild nature. Forte dei Marmi, Marina di Pietrasanta, Viareggio, Cecina, Follonica, Castiglione della Pescaia and the unique promontory of Argentario.
These are also the places that have gained ‘Bandiera Blu‘ (Blue Flag), a prize that certify the highest quality and stays of beaches, with clean waters and preserved skyline. Blue flags are allocated by the Foundation for Environmental Education (Fee) in Italy that evaluates many important parameters as the quality of water, the coast and also for the presence of services, security measures and initiatives takenin otder to protect the environment.
