Arno is the second largest river in central Italy after the Tiber and the main in Tuscany.
Arno has a total length of 241 km that passes trough the main territories of this region (Casentino, Val di Chiana, Arezzo, The upper Valdarno, Pratomagno, Siena province, Florence, Sesto Fiorentino, Campi Bisenzio, Prato, Pistoia, Sieve, Middle Valdarno, Lower Valdarno, Val di Pesa, Val d’Elsa, Val d’Era, Pontedera). It borns in the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennines, at an altitude of 1358 m above sea level, and flows into the Ligurian Sea passing through Pisa.
Oil is a product well representing Tuscan territory, especially countryside. In Montecatini Terme on 28 and 29 November “Dolce Olio” Sweet Olive Oil, a Tasting Laboratory oriented towards experimentation and innovation in the kitchen.
New products, combining innovative techniques and quality olives, will be presented. They are all coming from Montecatini territory, in Pistoia Province. “Sweet Olive” is sponsored by the Ministry of Economic Development and it involves schools and industries in a new project, concerning innovative solutions in the field of food production.
